Zell Am See - Europa Sport Region - 758m

Zell am See is a beautiful lakeside town, located only an hour and a half from Salzburg, and in the heart of the Europa Sport Region. There's plenty for everyone to do in Zell, no matter whether it's a summer holiday or winter skiing break. From mountain walks to fabulous skiing, boat trips and train rides, Zell has lots on offer.

The mountain above Zell am See is the "Schmittenhöhe" - or "Sugar Loaf" mountain. A ride to the top on the gondola offers trememdous views down to Zell, across the lake and to Kaprun. From Kaprun (20 minutes away by bus), you can go up to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier (10,500ft), where you can ski all year round.
