Seefeld is situated on a large plateau above the Inn valley, and only 30 minutes drive from Innsbruck. It is surrounded by the magnificent Wetterstein and Karwendel mountains, and green (or white in winter) meadows. All hotels in Seefeld are generally of a very high standard and quality and there are plenty of activities to keep even the most lazy or energetic happy.
The local bus service is very useful for exploring the area (or for those walks which are just abit too long, you can get the bus back!!). Seefeld also has its own train station, so you can't miss the ride down into Innsbruck, in and out through tunnels, and at times it seems almost like the train is just hanging onto the mountain side. It's breathtaking.
The centre of Seefeld is pedestrionised, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars. There's also a lake 5 minutes stroll from the centre, the "Wildsee", a great place for relaxing and watching the world go by.
