Rauris is a beautiful, unspolit, and relatively un-commercialised village, located in the heart
of the "Höhe Tauern National Park" in Salzburgerland.
In the past, Rauris used to be a gold-mining area, now, from the village, there are
plenty of wonderful walks for all levels, and you can still go gold "panning" in
