The twin villages of Saalbach and its smaller neighbour Hinterglemm, are situated in the beautiful "Glemm" valley in Salzburgerland. Saalbach has a pedestrionised village centre with shops and cafes. On either side of the valley, the "Schattberg" and "Kolmaiskopf" cable-cars give you great views over the whole "Glemmtal".
Going a little bit further up the valley you reach the quieter and the more laid-back village of Hinterglemm. Hinterglemm's "Zwölferkogel" mountain is famous for its downhill ski racing.
